Official Dynamic training began today. Everyone has had a good time thus far and it is going to improve as the party begins at the end of the competition. Team USA is feeling great and everyone is looking forward to doing well over the next two days.

DAY 1

Day one of the dynamic competition began with a big bang in the form of six foot seven inch Kiwi Dave Mullins. The blackout of Ant Williams in the static competition, removing any chance of the Kiwis making the podium, paved the way for Dave to have the freedom to go big. Dave did just that. He swam 248 meters for a new world record during the first performance of the day.

USA's Craig Gentry had the lucky draw of doing his swim along with Dave in the lane next to him. Craig had a successful swim, but received a yellow card for a small surface break violation. Annabel Edwards had a leisurely swim of 123 M to secure a white card in the US Women's bid for maintaining their silver placing.

DAY 2

The days of old cold war tensions had the US facing off with Russia. Today in the world of freediving old rivals are close friends. This time the Russians came out on top. However, the US Women are right behind. Day two brought a silver medal for the US Women with finishing swims for Julie "Jewels" Russell and Jessica Wilson. CONGRATS to the US Women!!!

The US Men did not have as much luck. Rob King had a strong swim of 148 meters, but unfortunately made a simple error in his surface protocal resulting in a DQ. Jared Schmelzer had a personal best swim in bi fins no less of 113 meters in only his second competition performance ever. Overall a very fun and successful event for all nations.
